Miss Boozehound: 4 years 7 months of no fashion sense

Good Morning :-) (oh lord I realized just now that I start my official emails like I do my blog ROFL)

The folks that we spend our SL time with could broadly be divided into the following groups (or such is my opinion anyways)

1. The Misers:- These are the people who refuse to buy a single penny's worth of linden, which is OK not everyone can afford to play a lavish SL.
2. The Wasters:- Now these are the interesting ones, these guys will buy lindens (probably not a lot) and then go out and spend it on utter rubbish. All every item of clothing sold out there in the SL market is good, would you agree?
3. The Divas:- Here I refer to both male and female, so please don't take offence at the feminine category...what can I say I'm woman and proud to be one. In this category I think we have all those lovely looking yummeh avatars, these are the people that make SL a beautiful place and the builders of beautiful places rofl. These guys don't necessarily buy their lindens, they may also earn in within the game, the end result is that they look bloody effing awesome.

I repeat what I have been saying on this blog for a while, there is no excuse for looking ugly in SL. You cant say that you dont know about SL fashion, because its everywhere and when you see someone with a pretty avatar, dont you want to just ask them about it. Most residents are quite friendly and will go out of their way to help, provided you ask.!!

Let me give you an example of Miss Boozehound, after 4 years and 7 months if she looks like that, I believe she needs her head examined. Or maybe that is what fashion is to her?!? I'm considering interviewing a few ugly avatars, just to know what goes through their head when they walk around looking ugly as shit.

Summer Look

I love to hate summer...Indian summers are like horrid, but when I'm on SL I pretend that the sun feel heavenly on my skin as I walk around town with my shorter than short shorts (that's a lot of shorts) and tanks. Here's my look for the day

So what am I wearing:-

And no, I have no given up on my usual ridiculing of the ugly side to SL, but every so often one needs to see some beauty too eh and who prettier than moi :P (mirror mirror on the wall......yup that was me lool)

Meet The Riveter

Salaam Namaste!!

I spent some time down at REZ with my dear friend Somerfield this morning. The very awesome DJ Ringo was spinning those awesome tunes and I was perving around checking out avatars and fashion, you know life as usual and suddenly my eyes falls on RosytheRiveter!!!

Was it the noob look that was meant to be riveting or the partially exposed nipples or maybe it was those manly  biceps.....either case she sure as hell riveted me....away!!!!

I know I'm mean, but there are a million stores that give away freebies just for joining their group and good stuff, all the way from skins to shoes to clothes to hair. There is no excuse for looking like that 50 days after joining SL!!!

Mesh Gone Bad

Those that know me, know that I love mesh. I was one of the first few to embrace it. Up until yesterday I thought that no one could look ugly in mesh! Boy was I wrong. People do know how to take something beautiful and still look like crap. Here is what I saw at the Culture Shock 2012!!!

So what is that? A maternity gown? Because it sure as hell doesn't look like a gown!! And how can you walk out of home wearing something like that???? 

Mesh is beautiful, here's a request to people, please don't ruin it by looking like shit in it!!!!!

Day 3: JAQUELINE FASHION (Beats me why they call it "fashion")

Namaste!!

Its another sweltering day here in good ol' Bombay (for the finicky Indians Mumbai) and after having a wonderful day out with my RL pal (psst we even went for fish therapy...fucking hell that tickles) I come home to SL and some shopping.

My first store today was called "Jaqueline Fashion". I will give her/him credit for spelling it the right way as opposed to the common misspelling of Jackline (rolls eyes). Other than that I have no good things to say to her/him. Nope I didn't bother to find the name of the designer (if you can call the person that).

I do want to make it clear here that I am not demeaning their creativity, but its like this, if you throw paint on the  canvas and let it dry it ain't gonna pass for painting or you for painter. And just because this is SL doesn't mean that people have to be nice when you BS them (right?)

So lets see what this store sells in the name of fashion!

I guess someone needs to tell this designer that well there is a reason why the top designers get good looking avatars as models, its the first sign of creativity!!!

I'm sure you can name the faults, but lets list them out anyways:
(a) Prim clothes? I cant remember the last time I bought one of those. Come on there's better ways to do this.
(b) The horribly ugly models used (I'm guess its the designer or an alt of the designer, which is saying a lot)
(c) Once again designs that went out of fashion 3 years back, ffs if you want to make clothes without any creativity stick to denims, there's only that much you can do with pants.

Oh and this store is HUGE!!! And every fucking inch of the wall is covered with stuff and dont think that just because the designs are crappy the prices are low. The black historical number you see in the picture above was for 700L$ (jaw thuds to the floor).

I'll just let the pictures do the talking....there's one of me looking might bored too lolz

If I had a linden every time someone called this black number their original creation I would be a rich bitch (JS)

Striptease anyone? I wouldn't be surprised if you got dumped after performing a striptease in one of these outfits ROFL

Now if you want to roleplay as a naughty nun (haaaw) or a naughty nurse even, she caters to that too. 

*Raised eyebrows*

I do believe the store gets a few sales....check out the clientele, although I believe she ran through the store like a road runner and left without a single purchase, must have been too expensive for her, couldn't have been the style........surely

Finally pretty little me (ain't I modest *winks*) looking sort of bored.....

Do visit if you want a flashback of yester-years, but if you seriously need to shop I recommend avoiding the store, its not even cheap FFS. Else I'd say, I'm trying on the cheap look after wearing an item from here!!! LMFAO!!!

Day 2 - Amy's Fashion "Exclusive Designs".......NOT

Hello my fellow haters of all things ugly

Its a warm day in Bombay, India....correction its a freaking HOT day in Bombay, India and what better to do than to stay indoors and get your fix of SL ugliness.

So I took my English muffin Satria Pexington to Hucci. As is always the case, she ran through the store and maxed out her card and then we sat outside with a nice cuppa and that is when it happened. This random chick IM'ed us both, I guess she copy pasted her hello's etc and invited us to visit her store. I figured what the hell, here's an opportunity I either get my first victim or Marian gets another store to praise and so we went to Amy's Fashion Exclusive Designed. I got a few pictures that I haven't even bothered editing and you'll see why.

I do believe that the wedding gown in this picture used to be found at freebie stores in 2007, they looked like shit then I don't believe they look any better in 2012 *scrubs eyes clean*

I don't know about the rest of you but I sure as hell wouldn't wish to get these clothes even if they were free!!!

Day 1: Warning alarms!!!

Well hello there!

I happened to walk into a store this morning, part of my SL ritual..you know shopping *wink wink* and as I looked around I was horrified! The clothes were so 2006 SL that i wanted to pluck my eyeballs out for having to have seen them at all in this day and age.

And while I was there contemplating the fate of my eyeballs, I realized that people need to know about the bad stores as much as they do about the good ones.

Who classifies them as bad, now thats a fair question. I promise only to blog about stuff that are downright nasty and/or do not justify the price tag. Besides, admit it, we have all at some point or another walked into a store and thought "wow what the hell is this designer thinking". I sure have and more than once.

I've always wanted to fashion blog but not in the contemporary way that everyone else does. After all I am unique *wink wink*

So if you want a laugh, a look into the ugly side of SL (be it avatars, clothes, shoes or accessories), just pop into my page here. I promise to update as often as I can, which would not be daily but hopefully I'll have a post a week atleast!
